TESTIMONIALS

Matt Gillett - brisbane broncos, Aus Kangaroos

I have had the pleasure of being coached by Crolly for many years, it was a great experience for me that’s for sure. If you ask anyone who has ever had the opportunity to work with him, not a bad word would be spoken about him. He is very knowledgeable in what it takes to become and improve yourself as a professional athlete. One of the most enthusiastic trainers I have ever come across and his energy levels are something I’ve never seen before, it definitely rubs off on you making you train/perform better at all times. Don’t miss the opportunity to work with one of the best in the business.

Chelsea Forkin - Olympic Softballer

I had the opportunity to be coached by Crolly during my time as a QAS softball athlete. He is an outstanding strength and conditioning coach with so much passion and knowledge. After working with Crolly for just over 12 months, my sprint technique drastically improved and my speed and power capabilities increased, which was exactly what I needed for my game. What I loved most about working with Crolly, was his ability to get the best out of me, both as a person and athlete. As someone who is a HPE teacher and having played elite and professional sport, don't miss this opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills with one of Australia's most experienced strength and conditioning coaches.

Ben Te’o - England Rugby

I have worked with Crolly since 2009. What stood out to me when we were at the Brisbane Broncos together was his passion and energy for his job. He really connected with his athletes and become someone they could come to for extra development or guidance.

As I changed clubs, codes and travelled around the world I realised how lucky I was to have met and worked with him so early in my career. He was hands down the best trainer I had ever come across. So every time I returned to Australia I would organise for him to train me. Get him to look over my body with fresh eyes and help me where I needed. This has developed as a theme where athletes who are no longer based in Brisbane seek him out whenever they return.

I think his biggest gift is the ability to connect with his athlete, especially when they are going through tough periods whether that is form slumps or long term injuries. In 2017 I was playing rugby for the England national side when got injured and had surgery on my ankle. I had lost so much trust in other trainers that I flew across the world and back to Brisbane to rehab with Crolly. It was an investment in my body that I just had to make and I knew he would get me back to my best. Sport is so much about the mental side and trying to stay positive when things aren’t going well. And there is no other trainer I’ve come across in the world who has the gift Crolly has.

Anthony wood - Dolphins academy strength & Conditioning coach

Andrew is an industry leader in athlete and coach development; something I do not throw out there lightly. His ability to connect with a group of athletes and coaches to understand what they need to improve is truly impressive. This insight, along with his energy, innovation and experience, allows Andrew to tailor development plans that are targeted and concise to the needs of those he works with. When it comes to coaching and mentoring, I couldn’t recommend Andrew enough.

I have personally had the privilege of working with Andrew Croll for a large portion of my career within a high-performance team at both the North Queensland Cowboys and Brisbane Broncos. During that time he had invested in me at a professional and personal level. Not only did this allow me to progress my ability as a strength and conditioning practitioner to another level but he had become a great friend of mine in the process.

James O’Connor QLD Reds & WAllabies

Working with Crolly during my rehab process in 2022 was a breath of fresh air. Without even touching on his incredible knowledge and abilities in the rehabilitation space, to have someone so emotionally aware and adept, really helped with the highs and lows of the injury which always come. His ability to plan the whole program and then step me through the daily schedule plus adapt it depending on where I was at energetically as well physically, was by far the best I've had. It made the daily slog of rehab something I actually looked forward too. On top of that he's just a joyful character that became a friend. Was an absolute pleasure.

Luke Willian - Olympic and Commonwealth Games Triathlete

Crolly was my first introduction to strength and conditioning. He began coaching me in the lead up to the 2018 commonwealth games. He is an exceptional coach and always explained the goal of the exercise and related it to my sport.

During this time working with Crolly my strength, power and speed increased. Crolly’s enthusiasm and positive attitude in gym helped pushed me to get the most of myself while also making it fun. Don’t miss out on learning from the best strength and conditioning coach there is!

Andrew McCullough - Brisbane Broncos, QLD Maroons

He is absolutely first class. It's been nothing but tremendous to work with Crolly. He helped me out through multiple injuries, major injuries at that, a hamstring tear and ACL and an ankle injury.

He's nothing but the best. He takes pride in his performance and he's  helped me get back to where I can on the field. I put my complete confidence in him and I would recommend him to any athlete out there trying to get back on the field from major injuries or setbacks, or just trying to increase their overall fitness and performance within sport. He's the man to do it. I'd be certainly working with Crolly any day of the week.

Kelly penfold - qld firebirds head of strength & conditioning

Andrew has been a key figure in my development as a well balanced coach and great communicator.

He has helped me understand the balance of the art & the science and how coaching a program is heavily influenced about the delivery and enthusiasm applied to it.

He is always upbeat & charismatic and has been crucial in changes in my approach and application.

I have personally worked alongside Andrew in a professional environment and seen his impact on individuals and teams.

His knowledge and understanding of key underpinning concepts, alongside his experiences, have given him a well rounded view of strength & conditioning. Andrew will help any coach break complex concepts down into more simple terms which resound with those receiving them.

Alex Glenn - brisbane broncos former captain

As a professional athlete at the highest level for 14years, I have seen trainers come and go in my time and when your at that elite level your always trying to find that 1% difference over your opposition.

Crolly was that trainer for me. I had the privilege to have him as my head trainer in my first years at the Broncos and then the final years as a Bronco and I have never in my career had a trainer understand so much about the connection of the mind and the body to produce the greatest performance your body can.

I was able to make my mark in the game all thanks to his training techniques. It’s easy to be a high performance trainer when you’re winning games or your body feels amazing but Crolly's greatest asset is the ability to keep your mindset strong and focus on where you want to be when you're at your lowest point.

I wouldn’t be able to achieve anything near to what I did in the game if it wasn’t for him in my life as a mentor on and off the field. So if this is an opportunity for you to work with him too, don’t let this one slide because you too can achieve and learn more about yourself and the difference you can make to others when it comes to high performance.

Liam Wright - QLD Red & Wallabies Captain

Crolly was incredible when he led my rehab. He was very thorough in his planning and session detail, creating enjoyable sessions that felt like they progressed at a challenging but safe pace. He liaised with physios and coaches and ensured I wasn't too far removed from the normal day-to-day. Most importantly, however, he created an extremely positive environment that was conducive to getting results. rehab is a tough time mentally and Crolly knew how to make it enjoyable, navigate the down-days, and chat through what I was feeling as an athlete.

Tate McDermott - QLD REDS & wallabies captain

Had the pleasure of working with Andrew Croll in the 2022 Super rugby season. Crolly's work in the rehab space was absolutely world class. His personality, enthusiasm and expertise made Crolly someone every player respected and genuinely enjoyed learning from. His investment in individuals regardless of their place in the team meant he formed true connections with his players. His positivity was contagious and he was a true asset to our club.
